OTHER CONSPIRACIES / CH4 (2018)
Director & Editor
A glimpse through a keyhole reveals a crowd of malnourished creators, stuck in an endless loop of repetition. Other Conspiracies is a surreal short film by Katya Ganfeld, that examines the creative process when framed by mental health. Katya Ganfeld is an artist and award-winning filmmaker, whose work repeatedly breaks with convention and makes us contemplate our own screen presence with often unsettling results.
THE CAMERA IS BROKEN / BBC (COMING SOON 2020)
An ageing director is making her final film: one delving into her past. Face to face with the embodiment of her younger self, the line between her present reality and the film's blur.
The film follows Sage, a quiet teenager lacking in confidence and the ability to properly express her feelings. We meet her at a point where she is anxious about the next stage of her life: university. Although her friends and family seem optimistic, Sage's fears about the status of her uni application as well as her feelings of isolation from those around her continue to grow. As time passes, Sage's worries soon take the form of a sinister presence. This 'presence' begins to haunt and torment Sage, wickedly luring her further into the darkest parts of her psyche - in order to hold her captive to her worst fears and deepest insecurities. Will Sage conquer her saboteur?

NO TAPE INSIDE II (2016)
Direct, DOP, Edit

NO TAPE INSIDE IV: OBSERVATIONS OF AN ARTIST (2020)
Direct, DOP, Edit
First screened on the May 2020 edition of Vicious Collective's Sunday Service, the film combines archival footage gathered by NTI over the years along with NTI reflections on self isolation and the nature of being an artist. As usual NO TAPE INSIDE gives us an intimate video-screen window into the artist's personal relationship with subculture and their historic and ongoing existential crisis. A reflective, tender and disturbing work very much emblematic of 2020 introspection.
The Museum of Homelessness worked with neuroscientist Dr Lasana Harris and several participants who have experienced homelessness to understand what is termed 'the bystander effect', where people form a dehumanised perception of others through a lack of social engagement.
In this film the camera tracks across three scenes to hear stories of homelessness from various different perspectives in an effort to change the way it is understood and discussed.
